Our retreat is hosted by the hospitable staff at Saint Dorothy's Rest in Sonoma County. Nestled among old-growth redwoods and perched high on a hilltop above the Pacific Ocean, St. Dorothy’s is a unique and breathtaking home for Finding Fellowship. The weekend will provide a variety of recovery related activities, meetings, workshops, speakers, hiking and naturally, lots of fellowship.
What To Bring
Water Bottle
Bring your own personal, refillable water bottle or canteen.
Flashlight
Please bring a working personal flashlight; this will not only help you navigate in the dark, but it will also help provide light at group events (such as the campfires).
Alarms, Cell Phones (mobile service is sketchy), Etc.
You may find it helpful to have a small personal alarm clock.
Sunscreen and Bug Repellent
We will often be outdoors, so bring effective sun screen and bug repellant.
Necessary Medications
Don’t forget to bring your necessary, prescribed medications. Each building has a refrigerator.
Comfortable Hiking Shoes & Socks
Hiking is of course optional, however, we are in the mountains. While many areas are paved plan to be walking through dirt paths and trails .
Yoga / Workout
Exercising is, of course optional, but you may want to join other fellows hiking or doing Yoga.
Warm Clothes and an Umbrella
It gets wet & chilly in the woods in early November! Bring a heavy coat and other warm clothing for the evenings.
Earplugs
Because of the shared sleeping arrangements, earplugs are a good idea to bring along.
